Self Portraits

I hid this gallery inside a blog post; it doesn’t appear among the main pages of the site.

A self-portrait is personal—it is an intimate encounter, one in which demons rise to demolish the self, and rays of light endure and illuminate the shadows.

At every moment the portrait changes; there is no instant in which the self remains the same, and everything is reflected in the face. A self-portrait is a kind of travel journal through my inner and outer worlds—a journey of destruction and rebuilding, of recreating the self anew with each encounter in front of the mirror.
